Sennheiser electronic celebrated the official opening of its newest distributorship for Australia and New Zealand with a grand event. The Sennheiser Australia Pty Ltd. emerged from the takeover of Syntec International, a long-standing, regionally well-established distribution partner. This step will allow Sennheiser to strengthen its position in the Asian-Pacific market and to better reach local customers.
Over 200 guests attended the festivities, including both of Sennheiser’s CEOs, Dr. Andreas Sennheiser and Daniel Sennheiser. Also among those invited to the „Taranga Zoo“ overlooking Sydney’s breathtaking harbor were business partners and friends as well as employees from Sennheiser. The well-known recording artists James Morrison and Craig Calhoun provided the musical background for the event, and they both relied on Sennheiser’s newest D9000 digital technology for their performances.
Dr. Andreas Sennheiser stressed the importance of opening a subsidiary in Australia and New Zealand for Sennheiser: „ For 70 years we at Sennheiser have been shaping the audio industry based on our heritage, innovation culture and our passion for excellence. And Australia and New Zealand are a very important market for us. Now we are even better set up to serve our customers in this region.”
The launch of Sennheiser Australia Pty Ltd. as the 16th distribution subsidiary demonstrates the international orientation of the parent company. Today Sennheiser is represented in more than 60 countries around the globe.
Daniel Sennheiser said: „The positive developments show us that the strategic decision to operate locally using our own subsidiaries is correct. With direct presence in Australia and New Zealand we are well set up for the future and will be able to be even closer and serve our customers with the excellent service and high quality Sennheiser is known for around the globe.“
Sennheiser is now there for its customers throughout the region thanks to a well-developed network of dealerships and sales reps in all of the important cities: Brisbane, Perth, Sydney (headquarters), Melbourne, and Adelaide, not to mention the fully staffed operational office in Auckland (New Zealand).
"We have been operating independently as a distribution subsidiary of Sennheiser since September, and already the teams's achievements as well as the advantages for our customers are remarkable,” says Bjørn Rennemo Henriksen, Managing Director of Sennheiser Australia Pty Ltd. “Having a deep understanding of the totality of Sennheiser’s capabilities, I see it as a significant part of my role to provide the benefits of Sennheiser’s global presence to each individual customer in Australia and New Zealand."
